Ambar Campos,  Executive Director

Ambar Campos (Executive Director) originally came to AIBI for a temporary data entry position while studying for her in BFA in Fashion Design. Thirteen years later, Ambar has worn many hats, cultivating skills in garment construction, machine operation, digital patternmaking, graphic design, fundraising, grant writing, and event planning. Ambar was responsible for producing the ‘Chicago is Red Hot’ events and ‘REVUP Chicago’, before stepping up as AIBI’s Executive Director in 2019.

Kat Anderson, Member Services Coordinator

Kat Anderson (Member Services Coordinator) is a Seamstress and Fashion Historian, specializing in garment production processes. Her previous experience includes mounting a fashion exhibit at the Chicago Historical Museum, sample making for Designer Entrepreneurs, and stitching for the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Outside of AIBI, Kat is currently participating in a factory production bootcamp at the Albuquerque Fashion Incubator, and furiously preparing to present research at the ‘Fashioned in History’ Early Modern Clothing conference in Jamestown, VA.
