Join us for a full-day cultural exchange at the National Museum of Mexican Art on Friday, October 10, 2025, as part of Chicago Fashion Week, to explore the rich heritage of Mayan embroidery and artisanal techniques. This immersive event, in partnership with Muuch Creative, úuchben Bordado Textil, and the National Museum of Mexican Art, will be led by Úuchben Bordado Textil and the renowned brand of master artisan Blanca Itzá, an expert in the Mayan tradition. Together with Mildre Ramírez, they will design and deliver this workshop filled with color, history, and plenty of embroidery.
As a featured event of Chicago Fashion Week, it offers a rare cultural perspective to the fashion world by honoring the artistry and heritage of Mayan textiles.
