# 7- US-Stitch Line SL 718-2 Single Needle Blind Stitch
The US-Stitch Line SL 718-2 has a small lever at the side of the machine that holds the fabric in place by pushing the cloth forward while sewing. The needle then sweeps from side to side and the fabric is only caught a small amount, creating a small stitch on one side and a "blind stitch" on the other side.
The US-Stitch Line SL 718-2 is used for hems, especially on woven skirts, dresses, and slacks. We only keep black and white thread on hand, so you will want to bring your own matching thread cone(s).
