It is with great enthusiasm, energy and excitement that I begin my term as president of the Apparel Industry Board, Inc. (“AIBI”). I would like to express my gratitude to our members for this meaningful honor. As many of you know, we have a strong sense of community in the sewn products industry in Illinois, and the resurgence of fashion-focused events in recent years makes it an exciting time to be part of this group. There is a place for everyone at AIBI.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our long-standing members and to welcome our new members. AIBI offers support, mentorship and industry-specific programming tailored to the needs of industry professionals, and I encourage all of you to participate in those programs. In addition, our incredible Fashion Lab offers valuable and unique perks to both members and non-members, including digital pattern making software, large cutting tables, fifteen industrial sewing machines, steamers and body forms.
My presidential term will be even more enjoyable because AIBI was in the hands of my competent predecessor, Lauren Lein, for over a decade. I had the pleasure of meeting Lauren many years ago at my first AIBI board meeting, and we became fast friends. We thank Lauren for her many years of service to AIBI and for continuing to support AIBI as immediate past president. In addition, I would like to thank our hard-working Executive Committee and board members for their dedication, and I look forward to working with all of you and welcome your ideas. I would also like to thank Ambar Campos, Executive Director, and Kat Anderson, Member Services Coordinator, for their many years of hard work and vision.
Through this organization, I have been fortunate to find many great friends and mentors. Thank you for the opportunity to give back to this wonderful group and to the community. I extend a warm welcome to all of you and look forward to working with you in the upcoming year.
Maria Vathis,
AIBI Board President

Here's all you need to know if you're wondering, "What terminal is Lynx Air at LAX?" Travelers flying with Lynx Air must check in at Los Angeles International Airport's Terminal 1. Following the completion of security checks and baggage drop-off, travelers are taken to Terminal B (Tom Bradley International Terminal) for boarding. This procedure guarantees that visitors can take advantage of Terminal B's many facilities, including a variety of food options, duty-free shopping, and cozy lounges. Arriving at Terminal 1 at least two hours prior to domestic departures and three hours prior to foreign flights is advised to ensure a seamless travel experience. Because terminal assignments are subject to change, always confirm them before departing.
The Frontier Airlines Phoenix Airport Terminal is located at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), where Frontier Airlines operates its flights. Passengers flying with Frontier Airlines will find the Frontier Airlines Phoenix Airport Terminal equipped with all the essential services, including check-in counters, security checkpoints, and baggage claim areas. The terminal is designed to provide a convenient and efficient experience, ensuring smooth travel for those flying with Frontier Airlines to and from Phoenix.
Congratulation Maria Vathis, incoming AIBI Board President and welcome aboard. It will be a delight to meet you hopefully in the near future. Amber Campos and Kat Anderson are two wonderful ladies that I have known for a number of years! Great ladies who have done an awful lot for the Apparel Industry Board and it is with great excitement that I extend my congratulations to you! ❤️🥰
